I truly faced a chasm hiking in the Rockies. The beauty and depth go as far as you can see. the rocks and water here have many layers.

This painting was inspired by an old barn located on the property of Lake Avalon Ranch. There's just something about the character of an old barn and water reflects the story.

These western Aspen trees are quite something to look up at and take in. The sun shining down through the yellow leaves seems to glow down on you.

These little flowers were growing on a wall at Roaring River State Park, Missouri. The moss, grass and damp rocks all sit around the flowers springing out at you. Oh the beauty I see in the cracks and crevices as I stroll along. 16"x 20" acrylic on stretched canvas.

Turn the opposite direction and you'll see Alley Spring Mill, and though that view gets much attention, continue on and this painting is what you'll see. What beauty in it's own right. The watercress grows in cold crystal clear water. That water is moving so the colors seem to continually swirl below you yet stay fully orchestrated within the parameters of the image. 14" x 18" acrylic on stretched canvas.

This crown of thorns tops the evergreen tree for a full reminder.

This painting was inspired by a view of Buffalo Point in the Buffalo River National Park, Arkansas. The rocks seemed to form a natural wall and the water moved gently.
